Safe Sitter Babysitting Class
Thursday, April 4, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
A seven-hour national babysitting course for 11 – 13 year olds. Fee: $35 includes book bag and materials. Registration required: 692-4444.
Peripheral Artery Disease Seminar (Screenings in May
Wednesday, April 17, 2 - 3 p.m.
PAD is known as poor circulation and mainly affects adults over age 50. Cardiac educator Debbie Kirkman, RN, will discuss the risk factors, screening and prevention for PAD. Attendees receive first choice for free PAD screenings in May.

Thursday, April 18, 6 – 7 p.m.
Podiatrist Joseph Menn, DPM, of Coastal Podiatry Associates, will discuss the signs of needing orthotics and how to know what type is right for your feet.
Monday, April 22, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
Family practitioner Jason Harrah, MD, of Grand Strand Primary Care, will discuss the effects of aging on your health – tests you should have at certain ages, how to respond to changes in your health and prevention measures.
Advanced Healthcare Directives Workshop

Have you and your family had the important discussion about your wishes if faced with a life-threatening health care issue? Dennis Wolterding, of Mercy Care Hospice, will discuss living wills and the durable power of attorney for healthcare. Free documents will be available.
Heartsaver CPR AED Class
Tuesday, April 30, 2 – 5 p.m.
Learn adult, child and infant CPR, how to relieve a foreign-body obstruction in an airway and proper use of an AED. This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED to meet job, regulatory or other requirements.

Cholesterol, blood pressure, A1c and weight screenings on a walk-in basis. Finger stick cholesterol screening, $7; lipid profile, which requires a 12 hour fast, $20; A1c testing, $20. No charge for blood pressure and weight. Cash or check.
