Senior Health Centers Host Seminars/Screenings in June

Three seminars and three screenings are scheduled for Grand Strand Regional Medical Center’s Senior Health Centers in June.
South Strand Senior Health Center will sponsor a free hearing screening on Wednesday, June 2 from 9:30 – 11:30 am. A seminar on the benefits of exercise is scheduled for Wednesday, June 30 at 2 pm.
The Carolina Forest Senior Health Center will host a free blood pressure screening on Tuesday, June 15 from 1 – 3 pm and a seminar on the benefits of exercise on Thursday, June 17 at 1 pm. A cardiac rehab nurse will discuss and demonstrates exercises for seniors.
A free blood pressure screening is scheduled at the North Strand Senior Health Center in Little River on Tuesday, June 8 from 2 -4 pm.
The diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis will be discussed on Thursday, June 24 at 2 pm at the North Strand Senior Health Center in Little River. Geriatric specialist John Carlson, MD, will speak.
