Local Chapter of Emergency Nurses Association Formed

Myrtle Beach, SC - A local chapter of the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) has been established – the Coastal Carolina chapter of ENA is open to all registered nurses, nursing students and pre-hospital providers in the surrounding area.  Previously, the closest chapter was in Florence.

The national ENA sets and maintains national standards to improve patient care.  The Coastal Carolina chapter works on various projects in the community including collecting school supplies for children in need and developing a program for victims of sexual assault.  The chapter also will be working on a child car seat program, golf tournament and fundraising for an annual nursing scholarship to a local high school graduate.

ENA elected officers include:  Gina Carbino, RN, BS, CEN, chapter president; Victoria Grainger, RN, BSN, CEN, CPEN, president elect; Judy Douglas, RN, BSN, treasurer; Sandra Graham, RN, BSN, CEN, secretary and Adriane Watkins, RN, CEN, public relations director.
