Free Seminars on PAD, Orthotics, Aging, & Advanced Healthcare Directives in April

Myrtle Beach, SC - Grand Strand Regional Medical Center will hold four free community seminars in April at HealthFinders at Coastal Grand Mall. Pre-registration is requested at 692-4444.
Cardiac educator Debbie Kirkman, RN, will discuss the risk factors, screening and prevention for Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD), or poor circulation, on Wednesday, April 17, 2 – 3 p.m. Free screenings will be held in May.
Orthotics is the topic on Thursday, April 18, 6 – 7 p.m. Podiatrist Joseph Menn, DPM, will discuss the signs of needing orthotics and the right type for your feet.
Family practitioner Jason Harrah, MD, will discuss Aging 101, including the effect aging has on your health, recommended tests as your health changes and prevention measures, on Monday, April 22, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
An Advanced Healthcare Directives Workshop will be held on Thursday, April 25,
10 – 11 a.m. A Mercy Care Hospice representative will discuss living wills and the durable power of attorney for healthcare. Free documents will be available.
