Two Community Flu Clinics in October 2013

Myrtle Beach, SC - Grand Strand Regional Medical Center will sponsor two community flu clinics in October. This year’s flu vaccine includes two A strains and a B strain. The H1N1 is included in one of the A strains.
Flu shots are $20 for individuals 16 and over. Parental consent is required for ages 16 and 17. There is no charge for Medicare recipients with a red/white/blue Medicare (Part B) card. Clinics will be held:
- Monday, October 21, YMCA, 62nd Avenue Ext. & Bypass 17, Myrtle Beach, 4 – 6 pm
- Thursday, October 24, River Hills Medical Plaza in Little River, 2 – 4 pm
Flu shots are recommended for everyone this year, but especially those at high risk including healthcare workers, anyone with/or caring for someone with a chronic disease, individuals 65 and above and childcare workers. The shots will be administered by Grand Strand Regional Medical Center registered nurses and nursing students.
Individuals should wear a short sleeve shirt if possible. Clinics are on a walk-in basis, no appointments. Call 839-9933 or 692-4444 for more information.
