Childbirth Education Classes
Being a parent is perhaps the most natural thing in the world. Being a good parent, however, is quite different. It takes a lot of hard work, patience and education to provide your new arrival with the care he or she will need. But new parents don't have to do it alone. At Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, we want to prepare you as much as possible for your new baby.
We're pleased to offer a series of childbirth education classes for expectant parents and families. All classes are taught by a Grand Strand Regional obstetrics nurse, certified in childbirth education.
- Prepared Childbirth Classes meet in the hospital classroom on the first floor, with sessions taught monthly.
- Breastfeeding, Infant Care and Infant/Child CPR classes are taught at HealthFinders, the hospital's community resource center located in Coastal Grand Mall, beside Dillard's department store.
