Chest Pain Services Accreditation
Grand Strand Regional Medical Center is an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care. Grand Strand Regional is the only hospital to receive the honor in Horry and Georgetown counties.
This recognition ensures that patients who come to the hospital with chest pain or chest discomfort will be given the immediate treatment necessary to minimize heart damage.
Grand Strand Regional tracks door-to-balloon time, the length of time from a heart patient’s arrival in the emergency department to surgery on the blocked artery.
