Heart Failure is the inability of the heart muscle to pump effectively. This causes blood to back up into the heart and lungs causing symptoms such as shortness of breath, fatigue, swelling of the legs and feet, stomach discomfort and weight gain. The symptoms of heart failure may seriously limit your activities and have an overall negative impact on your quality of life.
The goal of the Heart Failure Clinic at Grand Strand Medical Center is to partner with you and your family to take control of your heart failure. We want to empower you with a better understanding of heart failure and the importance of following your individualized treatment plan.
