Grand Strand Regional Medical Center Sponsors Two Community Flu Clinics in October

October 12, 2010

Grand Strand Regional Medical Center will sponsor two community flu clinics for flu vaccinations in October. This year’s flu shot combines the seasonal flu and H1N1 vaccine.

Flu shots are $20 for individuals 16 and over. Parental consent is required for ages 16 and 17.  There is no charge for Medicare recipients with a red/white/blue Medicare (Part B) card. Clinics will be held:

  • Thursday, October 21, Coastal Grand Mall (near Dillard’s) from 10 am – noon.
  • Monday,  October 25, River Hills Medical Plaza in Little River, 3 – 5 pm

Flu shots are recommended for everyone this year, but especially those at high risk including healthcare workers, anyone with/or caring for someone with a chronic disease, individuals 65 and above and childcare workers. The shots will be administered by Grand Strand Regional Medical Center registered nurses. Individuals should wear a short sleeve shirt if possible. Clinics are on a walk-in basis, no appointments.  Call 839-9933 or 692-4444 for more information.
