Victor E. Collier MD, FACP, FHM

Dr. Collier joined Grand Strand Medical Center in 2015. He has previously worked in academic medicine at Indiana University and St Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana where he served as an associate program director for the Internal Medicine residency program. Dr. Collier’s clinical responsibilities include supervising residents on the inpatient services and in the ambulatory clinic. His areas of interest include evidence-based medicine, cost-effective care, antimicrobial stewardship and patient safety. Outside of work, Dr. Collier enjoys spending time with his wife, two dogs and two children and outdoor activities.


Jilian Sansbury, MD, FACP, FHM

Dr. Jilian Sansbury is a hometown native of Myrtle Beach, born at Grand Strand Hospital! She graduated from the University of South Carolina Honors College in Columbia, SC with Honors. She is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Charleston, SC. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at the Medical University of South Carolina and then returned to Grand Strand for her Chief Residency in 2015-2016. She has special interests in medical simulation, point-of-care ultrasound education, safety and quality initiatives, and palliative and geriatric care. She lives in Myrtle Beach with her husband, their two sons, and their Boston Terrier, Macaroni.


Jamie Campbell, DO

Associate Program Director

Dr. Campbell studied medicine at Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency training at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. She also served as a 4th year Chief Resident there gaining experience in medical education administration and training residents and students in all clinical settings. She started at Grand Strand Medical Center as an academic hospitalist but transitioned to the associate program director role and now practices both inpatient and outpatient medicine. Her academic interests include clinical reasoning, patient advocacy, medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder, and resident and physician wellness. She lives in Myrtle Beach with her husband, mother-in-law, and two dogs. She enjoys travelling to new places, tasting new cuisines, and spending time on the beach.


Becky Sterling

Program Coordinator

Becky has worked in medical education since 2002 and joined Grand Strand Medical Center in 2016. She and her husband moved to Myrtle Beach to escape the cold winters of western Pennsylvania. They are avid sports fans and enjoy spending weekends at the beach.

Meg Carter, DO

Dr. Carter completed her undergraduate education at UNC Wilmington where she received a BS in Biology with a dual-minor in Chemistry and Psychology. She went to VCOM-Carolinas for medical school and was part of the inaugural graduating class in 2015. She completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at Grand Strand Medical Center in 2018 and loved the program so much she joined the faculty in 2019! Dr. Carter's interests include Quality Improvement and Resident Education. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking and gardening. She lives in North Myrtle Beach with her husband, Eric, and their dogs, Winnie and Mason.


Mohamed Faris, MD

I am one of the core faculty at the Internal Medicine Program at Grand Strand Medical Center. Having graduated from that very same residency program, the decision to stay was one of the easiest decisions I've ever had to make. If you ever visit Myrtle Beach you'll understand why. I graduated from Ain Shams University School of Medicine in Cairo and did 2 years of dermatology residency at that same university before moving to the US. I enjoy travelling the world as often as I can, playing and watching soccer, and learning the piano.


Jessica Cvinar, MD

Dr. Cvinar completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at Grand Strand Medical Center in 2020. Dr. Cvinar's interests include Morbidity and Mortality Improvement, Quality Improvement, POCUS and solving puzzling diagnostic problems. Outside of medicine, she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, spending time with family and friends. She lives in Myrtle Beach with her husband, Terence, their two sons, Everett and Bryce, along with their two dogs, Frye and Otter (Labradors).  


Sanjay Arukala, MD

Dr. Arukala completed his residency at St. Joseph Mercy in Oakland, Michigan. He worked in Georgia before relocating to Myrtle Beach in 2019 to work as a hospitalist. His immense love towards teaching gravitated him to join the residency program. In his free time, Dr. Arukala enjoys traveling, spending time with is two children and playing chess.
